About The Author
Robert Gold is a 35+ year Inventor, new product development specialist and Innovation Consultant who spent 10+ years in the specialized field of Non-Lethal Law Enforcement Weaponry and tactical equipment. His patented F.A.C.T.S. (First American Counter Terrorist Systems) Distraction Devices (aka Stun Grenades) have been purchased by and used in, 30 countries by elite groups including the NYPD ERT, LAPD SWAT, the RCMP, the British SAS and US Navy SEALS.
Gold was also a part-time Wyoming Deputy Marshall and a certified Law enforcement Trainer who spent several years teaching Less-Than-Lethal (LTL) weapons and tactics (including Electronic Restraint Devices aka Stun Guns and his FACTS Stun Grenades) to over 100 Law enforcement agencies across North America. He was among the 1st 300 members of ASLET (the American Society of Law Enforcement Trainers). Gold was also the author of a 3-year column entitled “Less Than Lethal” in the New York City-based National Police publication “Law Enforcement Technology”.
